Hello fellow chapter members!!
My name is Kristie Hertel and I have recently taken the position of President for the chapter. I am an Advanced Practice Provider with the Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Department with ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Along with introducing myself, want to update the chapter on a few things.

- All subcommittees are looking for volunteers with leadership opportunities within some of the committees

- Research Committee: our most active committee with several (> 15) current multi-institutional projects. Contact Casey Cable (casey.cable@vcuhealth.org)
- Education Committee: responsible for organization and planning of annual scientific symposium. Contact Lesly Jurado (leslyvjh@gmail.com)
- Mentorship Committee: pairing of mentors and mentees including individuals seeking FCCM. REALLY IN NEED OF MENTORS. Contact Alyssa Lear (alyssa.lear@atriumhealth.org)
- Membership: working to increase our diversity and roster for the chapter. Contact Donnie Goodwin (Donnie.goodwin@wvumedicine.org)
- Communication Committee: working to get this committee rejuvenated. Stay tuned.
- Symposium for 2024 will be held in Myrtle Beach. What for a save the date in a few months.
