Bio

Madison L. Fratzke began her respiratory therapy career in 2009 as a respiratory therapy associate prior to obtaining her baccalaureate in Respiratory Therapy from Indiana University in 2010. For 10 years she dedicated her career to Franciscan Health in Indianapolis where she gained knowledge and experience in critical care, including cardiothoracic intensive care. After moving to Virginia in 2019, her experience expanded into critical care areas including trauma, neuro, and transplant. Madison has been an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine since 2017 and rejoined the American Association for Respiratory Care the same year. Through SCCM she has held positions on the ICU Liberation Committee and Congress Program Committee and was Chair of the Respiratory Care Section. Madison recently was appointed as an AARC representative and liaison to the American Heart Association. Having authored several articles in publications such as AARC News and SCCM Critical Connections, she has a growing interest in research. Her passion lies at the bedside caring for critically ill patients and strategizing with the multidisciplinary care team on optimizing care guided by evidence-based medicine.
