Dr. Bice is an Intensivist in the Tele-Intensive Care department at Novant Health in North Carolina. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. His interests include Chronic Critical Illness, weaning from prolonged mechanical ventilation, and Medical Ethics. He was a member of the Ethics Committee at UNC, and was a lead consultant for 5 years until 2020. He is now a member of the Ethics Council at Novant Health.
