Bio

Dr. Ann-Marie Brown is a Peds ICU NP, educator and scientist. Her 35+ year career has focused entirely in pediatric critical care, primarily in the Pediatric ICU.  She is a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine, and Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her leadership roles include serving on the Board of Directors for the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care Societies and the Executive Committee of the SCCM Pediatric Section. She is an associate professor and director of the acute care pediatric NP program at Emory University in Atlanta. In addition, she also has a joint appointment as a Nurse Scientist at Children’s Health Care of Atlanta. She maintains her clinical practice in the PICU at Vidant Healthcare. Her program of research on nutrition in critically ill and injured children has spanned more than a decade, with a focus on nurse driven methods to optimize nutrition delivery, feeding intolerance, symptom management and relationship to clinical outcomes.
