Bio

Joshua Marks is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Acute Care Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. He is the Program Director for the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship and Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency as well as the SICU Medical Director, Enterprise Surgeon Lead for Surgical Critical Care and Medical Co-Director of the Center for Operational Resource Efficiency (CORE) and the Transfer Center at Jefferson. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM) and the AAST. He completed his fellowship at Penn in 2015 and his general surgery residency and medical school at Jefferson. He received his BA in Economics from Columbia University. He is the Treasurer of the Philadelphia Academy of Surgery and President-Elect of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Josh’s academic interests are in surgical education, systems improvement and direct to OR resuscitation of critically injured patients.
