Greetings PA Chapter SCCM!

We had a successful and well-attended "Challenges in Critical Care" Friday, August 18^th, 2023. A total of 117 participants were in attendance from across the Commonwealth during a very successful Challenges in Critical Care 2023!. Of note, the conference covered a diverse range of cutting-edge topics from Implementation Science and Ventilator Graphics through Organ Donor Management and Innovations of Donor Management Centers as well as Remote Aid During a Humanitarian Crisis. Of particular note are the winners of Best Scientific Poster and Best Case Study competitions. Best Scientific Poster was won by Yana Dilman, DNP, RN, AGACNP for "Nurse-Driven Fluid Responsiveness in Septic Shock." Best Case Study award was won by Orion Garcia, RN, CCRN; Beverly Minch, BSN, RN; Stacy Green, BSN, RN, MHA and Jackie Weitzman, BSN, RN for Case study titled: "Postpartum COVID-19 Recovery with Successful ECMO Initiation, Recovery and Decannulation."
