The Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) is excited to open nominations for the 2027 SCCM Council-and we are looking for passionate leaders ready to help shape the future of critical care.
This year, we are inviting outstanding candidates to be nominated-and to step forward themselves. If you or a colleague is ready to make an impact, this is your moment.
The following seats are open for nomination for the 2027 Council:
- Anesthesiology Designated Seat
- Collective* Designated Seat
* The Collective Designated Seat is chosen from the sections which do not have a designated seat currently on Council. These sections include Ethics, Industry and Technology, In-Training, Osteopathic Medicine, Physician Assistant, Research, Respiratory Care, Tele-critical Care Medicine, and Uniformed Services.
Each position carries a three-year term, offering a meaningful opportunity to influence the direction of SCCM and the field at large.
Nominations
Both peer nominations and self-nominations are encouraged.
Even more importantly, nominees will be invited to formally apply, ensuring every candidate has the opportunity to share their vision and qualifications.
SCCM encourages each section to put forward at least two candidates for designated seats. At-large nominations are welcome from both sections and the broader membership.
