The Ethics Section is a diverse group of professionals whose mission is to provide expertise and leadership regarding ethics related issues that arise in critical care practice, policy development, education and research. The Ethics Section envisions a multiprofessional model that fosters an ethically sound environment within the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), by enhancing awareness and dialogue about ethical issues related to the field of critical care medicine, with the aim of serving as a resource for guidance about complex bioethical issues.
