Dear SCCM KEG Members,
We have some exciting news to share with you! Starting with the first issue of 2027, SCCM's magazine Critical Connections will be an online-only publication, allowing us to expand the content we can include in each issue.
What's New
- Member Achievements and Recognition: Share with us news about your career! Whether it's receiving grant funding, getting a promotion, winning an award, or anything else new and exciting that's happening in your career, we'll feature your achievements so that the rest of SCCM can celebrate with you!
- No More Issue Themes: Critical Connections will still have feature articles, but authors now have the freedom to choose any critical care topic they wish to write on-no more having to stick to the issue theme! This includes published articles on success stories, member profiles, and more. Submissions are also accepted year-round with no topic proposal needed beforehand.
- New Submission Guidelines: A new page has been created outlining what article types are accepted, how to submit, and more! Check out the full updated submission guidelines here.
With these changes, we want to make sure that Critical Connections continues to be what our members want to see and read. If you have any comments or changes you wish to see, feel free to reach out to us here on SCCM Connect or through the contact form on the submission guidelines page.
There are two more print issues on the way to your mailbox before the first digital-only issue will be released, but you can start submitting content now! Submit by November 1 to be included in the January issue.
