hello,

I was wondering what the current practice is regarding pt who are on levothyroxine and tube feedings in the ICU. do you switch to IV or just hold the tube feeds. How long do you hold feeds for? trying to figure out if I should write a protocol so everyone is on the same page. In my ICU some of the nurses hold the feeds while others don't. We have a lot of agency nurses who come in and out and maybe aren't sure what to do.
