Neuroscience Section

 View Only

A specialty in critical care medicine and neuroscience provides the foundation for the Neuroscience Section. This section educates and promotes the interdisciplinary practice of critical care medicine by members who share an interest in neuroscience injuries and neurological manifestations of critical illness. The section advises the Society on matters pertaining to neuroscience and supports the research and practice of neuroscience and critical care medicine.

The Neuroscience Section provides members with the opportunity to network with critical care colleagues, influence the neuroscience profession, and strengthen leadership skills. In addition, one can contribute to both the section and SCCM at large through the Neuroscience Section.

Goals:

1. Be a home for intensive care caregivers who have an interest in brain and spine injury

2. Suggest Neuroscience topics to the Society

3. Contribute to the continuing education of general intensivists in topics of neuroscience that all intensivists need to know.

Who are we:

1. Over 2,200 members

2. Open to all specialties and disciplines
