Dear Texas Chapter Membership,
SCCM is asking section and chapter members to become fundraising ambassadors to help raise much-needed funds for SCCM's disaster relief efforts for COVID-19 and other national disasters.
The campaign is called the Summer Games Challenge and runs from August 23 through September 6, 2021, at 11:59 P.M. Central Time, overlapping with the end of the Summer Olympics. The concept is similar to a Facebook birthday fundraising event where fundraisers email a donation page link to friends, family, and colleagues requesting a donation to SCCM. Pretty simple!
Just like the Olympic games, competition always brings out the best in participants. To create a little friendly competition and to add some motivation to help each section and chapter go for the gold, all participants will be eligible to earn prizes for themselves and their team. Top fundraisers will receive valuable SCCM store coupons, and all sections and chapters will receive 20% of the total money they raise.
Below is a Quick Start Guide to Fundraising that explains the challenge, prizes available, and how to get started. You will also find step-by-step instructions on setting up a personal fundraising page, links to helpful training videos, fundraising tips, and FAQs.
How to get started as a fundraiser

- Once your page is set up, send out seven to 10 emails to friends, family, and colleagues asking for a donation. Feel free to send out emails before the official start of the campaign.
