Why do you love being in critical care?
It is one of the few professions where we encounter patients in their most vulnerable moments. The thought that we can make a significant difference in their outcome is incredibly rewarding. Critical care medicine is a dynamic field and ever evolving. I enjoy challenging myself to continually grow and develop professionally.
What advice do you have for those starting their critical care careers?
The one piece of advice my mentor gave me when I started my critical care career is to stay passionate forever and committed, as this field can be more demanding and challenging than any other field. I would share this advice with those just starting their careers.
What do you love about SCCM membership?
My SCCM membership offers me a wealth of educational resources like certification programs and conferences, to name a few. I recently got certified in Fundamental Critical Care Support: Obstetrics, which is a valued addition to my practice. These opportunities help me to stay current with the latest developments and enhance my skills.
