Hello!
I currently serve as the Chair of the SCCM Drug Shortages and Medication Safety Committee and am looking to diversify our committee, including the impact of both of these areas on tele-ICU. Our committee's charges are focused on identifying drug shortages and developing management strategies, along with addressing potential medication safety concerns. Since these both affect all ICU clinicians, we believe it is important to have all clinicians be represented on our committee! Our current committee is heavily represented by pharmacists and some physicians and we are interested in incorporating more perspectives, including other critical care clinicians, clinicians that are not at academic medical centers, and clinicians outside of the United States.
To volunteer to be a part of our committee, applications via SCCM's Creative Community are due by Monday May 1st. If you are interested in helping to develop strategies to address drug shortages or medication safety concerns, please consider applying!
Please feel free to reach out to me at awong7@bidmc.harvard.edu if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
