    The Florida SCCM Chapter Annual Symposium Planning Committee is excited to announce we are accepting abstracts and/or case reports for presentation at this year's Annual Symposium, which will take place at The Grand Bohemian Hotel on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, in Orlando, FL. 

    * All abstracts/case reports are welcome, even if you plan to submit to SCCM Annual Congress or another conference. * 

    Deadline to submit abstracts is August 16th, 2024, at 11:59 PM EST

    NEW this year: Florida SCCM Scholarship Award - up to $1,000 to attend an SCCM educational session. Additional details can be found in the attachment.

    Additional information/instructions for submission:

    • Abstracts are short summaries of your original investigative research. Abstract submissions should include an Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion section.
    • A case study provides the details of one case, but also briefly include background and establish the wider significance of a case. Case report submissions should include an Introduction, Description, and Discussion section.
    • The maximum character count including spaces and subheadings is 2,400. The body may contain 2,300 characters and the title 100 characters.
    • Abstracts will be considered for Star Research presentations. If chosen as a Star Research presentation, presenters will be provided free registration for the FL SCCM Annual Symposium and will be asked to prepare a 12-minute presentation. Accepted case reports and other accepted abstracts will be asked to prepare a poster to include in the research poster session.
