    The following members have been nominated to serve as elected Chapter Executive Leadership. 

    Voting will close on 1/24/2023. 

    You may vote for one candidate for each position.

    PRESIDENT-ELECT CANDIDATES:Jose Chavez

    I am seeking to be nominated for the President-Elect of the Southern California Chapter of SCCM, my experience on engagement includes an elected two- year term as SCCM Nursing Member-At-Large, in that position I am the SCCM Nursing Section Leader liaison for Nursing Research. An appointed three-year term on the SCCM Thrive Patient and Family and Quality and Safety Committee.Cassia Yi

    As a critical care clinical nurse specialist, I have the clinical expertise, leadership experience, and drive to carry this position. I have close and continual contact with resources and content experts that will help me be successful in the role. I believe that this position builds on my prior and current work and interests.


    SECRETARY:Hassan Bencheqroun

    I'm excited to send in my application for the position of Secretary of the Chapter. My goal is to actively use my skills at the local chapter level in educational opportunities, as well as research endeavors.

    I am interested in the Chapter Secretary position. I am a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in a 24 bed Medical/Surgical ICU that cares for high acuity patients in a community setting. I am interested to be a part of the local SCCM chapter as an opportunity for professional growth and to give back to the community of critical care professionals.

    Paige Nickelsen

    I am currently appointed for Current Concepts, Adult in SCCM but am looking to become more involved at a local level. I would be happy to accept any position available in order to increase networking and grow the level of pharmacy via SCCM in California.


    TREASURER:Katrina Derry

    I have served as Chapter President for since 2021 and have helped update many of our financial documents including a chapter budget, create expense reports, bring our tax status up to date, and create a virtual address to streamline chapter finances. After stepping down from the President position, I would be honored to serve as the Chapter Treasurer to maintain consistency.
