    The Nominations Committee of the Ohio Chapter is writing you as a Chapter member to seek your nominations of candidates to stand for election for the following positions within the Ohio Chapter:

    • President-Elect
    • Treasurer
    • Member-at-Large (2 positions)

    Member engagement is critical to the success of the Ohio Chapter and we are relying on your recommendations for strong candidates for these leadership positions.  Additional information about the responsibilities of each position can be found below, and in the Chapter Bylaws. If you have additional questions, feel free to reach out to any member of the current executive board (see the Chapter website for contact information).

    Nominations must be received by 5:00 pm EST on December 10th. Nominations should include:

    • The position of interest
    • The nominee's full name with credentials and title
    • The nominee's contact information (including institution and email address)
    • A letter of commitment from the nominee that includes a brief bio and a description of what the candidate will bring to the chapter leadership team (no longer than 1 page)


    Nominations can be submitted to SCCMOhio@gmail.com and the Nomination Committee will review the nominees and confirm a slate of candidates with the executive board, which will be circulated to the Chapter membership by December 15th with a voting deadline of January 7th, 2020. All terms will start at the business meeting in early 2022.



    • The President-Elect presides at meetings of the Chapter and the Chapter Executive Board in the absence of the Chapter President and performs other duties as assigned by the President or the Executive Board of the Chapter
    • The President-Elect assumes the office of Chapter President in the year following his/her term as President-elect, and then continues responsibilities as chair of the nominations committee as the immediate past-president. Therefore, the total commitment for this position is 3 years.



    • The Treasurer keeps accurate books of account of all financial transactions and works with SCCM to receive Chapter Membership funds
    • The Treasurer works with the executive board to prepare the annual chapter budget and to file the necessary tax information with the appropriate agencies
    • Treasurer serves a term of two years

    Members-at-Large (2 positions):

    • The Members-at-Large act as advisors to the Executive Board to help guide the goals and initiatives of the Chapter
    • Each Members-at-Large will be a liaison to a standing committee (many have assumed chair or chair-elect positions but this is not required) and report committee progress to the Executive board at all executive board meetings
    • The Members-at-Large serve a term of three years
